The Effect of Sosik-Cheongwool-Tang on the distress in the stomach and acid regurgitation

Abstract
|
|
|
The present study was carried out to investigate the effect of Sosik-Cheongwool-Tang on the distess in the stomach and acid regurgitation. Histological studies were done on the mucosa of gastrointestinal tract in mice.
The results obtained were as follows
1. A significant promoting effect of repair on the epithelial layer was shown from the basement membrane of duodenal ulcer in mice after treatment of Sosik-Cheongwool-Tang.
2. A significant effect of repair on the erosions in dhe epithelial layer of the acute gastritis in mice after treatment of Sosik Cheongwool-Tang.
These results appeared to suggest that Sosik-Cheongwool-Tang might be effective on the acute gastritis and the duodenal ulcer in mice and applied to the prescriptions for the treatment of distress in the stomach and acid regurgitation.
